When & Where Admissions Announced

Admissions are announced before the beginning of Fall semester in each year. The Registrar office issues Admission Notice/Advertisement/Schedule. Prospectus containing application forms for admission are issued & received by the office of Director Students Affairs Muzaffarabad.  Admissions are advertised in leading newspapers nation-wide months before the commencement of classes. 

The Application Process

Offline Submission Process

Follow the following steps for offline submission:

  • Application forms can be obtained from the Directorate of Students’ Affairs, the University of AJ&K
  • Payment of Rs. 1700/- through HBL Challan or alternatively, by sending Bank draft of Rs. 1800/- from any bank, in the name of Director Finance & Planning University of AJ&K.
  • Candidate applying for more than one department/category should deposit Rs. 500/- per additional form
  • For admissions in the undergraduate (BS 4-year, M.A/ M.Sc.) programs where entry test is mandatory, The applicant will separately deposit Rs. 600/- as entry test fee.
  • Submit Fee Challan/ Bank draft along with the Application Form in the DSA office or concerned campuses
  • In case applicant is applying for more than one program, he/ she shall deposit Rs. 200/- as entry test fee for each additional program.

Attach all required documents including the challan form with each copy of the application form and send them to the Directorate of Students’ Affairs.

Online Submission Process

Online Admission can be applied at http://admissions.ajku.edu.pk/.

Online admission activity is divided into the following steps:

  • Basic Registration Process
  • Provide Personal Information
  • Provide Educational Information
  • Apply For Program(s) You Are Interested In
  • Generate/Print Challan Forms of Your Application(s)
  • Pay Fee Against Those Challans
  • Provide Fee deposit Information
  • Print Application

Attach all required documents including the challan form with each copy of the application form and send them to the Directorate of Students’ Affairs.

 

Eligibility Criteria

B.Sc. Electrical Engineering

  • Students desirous of seeking admission to Bachelor of Sciences in Electrical Engineering should have:
  • At least 60% marks in F.Sc. (Pre-Engineering) or equivalent (the candidate applying on the basis of A-Level qualification must submit both O-level and A-level Equivalence Certificates from Inter Board Committee of Chairman, Islamabad) OR Relevant Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE) from the Board of Technical Education in Electrical Technology/ Electronics)
  • Admission in reserved seats will be only through nomination from the concerned department.
  • It is mandatory for the students to appear in the university entry test.

M.S Electrical Engineering

  • Students desirous of seeking admission to M.S. in Electrical Engineering should have:
  • A 16 years’ degree in the relevant field from an accredited educational institution with First Division (annual system) or CGPA 2.5/4.0 (semester system).
  • GAT (General) with 50% marks or passed UGAT organized by the university.

Documents Required/ Checklist

  • Attested copies of all educational certificates and degrees.
  • Character certificate issued by the College/ Institute last attended.
  • Migration certificate in case of Masters/ Graduation from institutions other than AJ&K University.
  • NOC/ Migration certificate in case of HSSC other than BISE Mirpur AJ&K.
  • A copy of the Domicile & State subject certificate.
  • A copy of National Identity Card or Form-B.
  • Four recent passport size photographs
  • Copy of Guardian’s CNIC

Things To Know First

Following things you need to know before applying:

 

  • Maximum age limit for applying in BS programs is 23
  • It is mandatory to pass the entry test. Passing marks are 50%.
  • No Separate Call letter for entry test/Interview will be issued, for admission; the merit list will be display on the notices board of DSA, Relevant department, and University website
  • Nominees of quota seats should apply for admission within the given timeline and must appear in the test /interview. Their nomination should also be submitted within a stipulated time.

Merit Determination

The merit of candidates will be determined according to the following criteria.

Where to submit necessary documents?

Students can collect and submit their application forms from the admission officer’s office established in Muzaffarabad Deputy Director of Students’ Affairs .
